The existing launderette was in need of rejuvenation and the opportunity arose for MMHG to purchase the property and convert the ground floor to a revolutionary new community Internet launderette, the first in Manchester. It is now managed by Northmoor Community Association. The space was stripped back to its original fabric and the steel beams expressed. Largly monochromatic, with dark grey flooring and beams contrasting with pale grey and white walls, doors and ceilings, this minimalism further highlights curved and zig-zagging orasnge elements that bring a liveliness to an otherwise pure and simple space.
