The building has Georgian facades and an internal framed structure inserted in the 1960s. The new scheme re-organises the basement and ground floor, previously let as
a bar, to allow for office expansion and a ground floor reception and meeting rooms. Due to a level change between the pavement and ground flooring, an internal curved timber and steel ramp was introduced to comply with the DDA. Natural materials, eg oak, maple and slate floor were incorporated in the design. The new entrance frontage has a contemporary glazed design to maximise natural light and give an active feature to the street.
