The Market Place, Mealhouse Brow and Rostron Brow are located within Stockport Market Place historical conservation area. Part of the site is grade II listed and contained medieval sandstone walls and old town gaols. The project comprises 28 apartments and 6 retail units, and was developed in line with the Historic Area Regeneration Group and English Heritage. Stabilisation work enabled the safe retention of dilapidated listed buildings and the rebuilding of the old town wall.
