MMHG, Manchester City Council

£1.25 Million

The former Beswick Co-operative building situated within the heart of the Northmoor area, is Grade II listed. The first floor assembly room and retiring rooms have been converted into 19 self-contained flats over three floors, and all original features have been retained, refurbished, and incorporated into the design.
A Community Resource Centre provides training and a community centre for local residents, as well as an after-school club. The completion of the scheme has played a key role in increasing local people's aspirations and sustainability of the area.
